The collection which comprises both clothing and swimwear takes after the Agua by Agua Bendita’s women’s Resort ’20 collection which includes the brand’s iconic prints like the riviera, watercolours flowers, the dragonfly and the vintage postage stamps from the post-colonial times of La Gran Colombia.

Bestsellers like the Herbarium dress and the Nativa one piece, as well as the brand’s novelty Pomelo dress, will also be available for girls. “As leaders in the mommy-and-me market, we know there is a huge demand for thoughtful and elevated mommy-and-me fashion,” said Sylvana Durrett and Luisana Mendoza, co-founders of Maisonette, adding that they’ve taken into account swimwear for boys too.

Many of the pieces in the collection are “mini” versions of the original womenswear styles, allowing mothers to match their outfits with those of their daughters and sons.

Similarly, Catalina Alvarez and Mariana Hinestroza founders of Agua Bendita expressed their excitement about working with the founders of Maisonnete who share their Latin American roots and their passion for sustainable and artisanal design.

Indeed, in their most recent collections, the designers have been keen to embrace sustainable practices in their design and production processes. For this reason, they utilized stock fabrics from the women’s Resort ’20 to create the children’s collection and included textiles made from recycled plastic to make the swimwear.
